20th Century Fox and Shawn Levy and his 21 Laps Production Company (Night at the Museum films) will adapt the classic children's picture book "Alexander and the Horrible, Terrible, No Good, Very Bad Day" into a feature film. The storybook has Alexander waking up with gum in his hair and then the bad luck piles on, making the day worse. In the screenplay, all the members of Alexander's family will be having bad days that just keep getting worse. The Jim Henson Co. actually holds the film rights to "Very Bad Day" but asked Levy to produce because of his successful history as a family film filmmaker. Levy also made Big Fat Liar, The Pink Panther, and Cheaper by the Dozen along with several kids TV shows including "The Famous Jett Jackson." Source: Variety |
