UPDATE -- Morgan Freeman and Ashley Judd (The Tooth Fairy) are in talks to team up once again for Dolphin Tale. The two starred together in Kiss the Girls and High Crimes. Judd would play the mother of the boy who befriends "Winter," an injured dolphin who has lost his tail. Freeman will play the doctor who creates the prosthetic tail for the dolphin.

Judd's Bug co-star Harry Connick Jr. is in talks to play the marine biologist who frees the dolphin and takes him to his marine facility.

July 20, 2010 -- Alcon Entertainment will tell the true story of a boy who befriends a dolphin whose tail was severed in a crab trap and builds her a fake tail to use instead in Dolphin Tale (kind of like Hiccup did with his dragon's broken wing). "Winter" the dolphin will play herself in the film. Air Bud director Charles Martin Smith will start filming on Sept. 27 at Florida's Clearwater Marine Aquarium.
