| Mutant Kids Put On a FREAKSHOW | |

|
Five kids become mutants with superpowers after a chemical explosion and must decide whether to use their new found skills for good or evil: it's a classic logline at this point and the story behind new 3-issue comic book and movie Freakshow. In this case, the kids have to decide if they'll save the city or get revenge (the blow kills the city's only superhero). Screenwriter Mark Protosevich (Thor, I am Legend) will adapt and likely direct with Oscar-nominated writer Sheldon Turner (Up in the Air) and Jennifer Klein (Pearl Harbor) producing. The comic book "Freakshow" is being self-published under the imprint Ape Entertainment. This all came together after "Freakshow" writer/creator David Server showed Klein the material while he was interning for her. Source: Variety
