Ashley Greene (Twilight), Hayden Panettiere ("Heroes"/Racing Stripes), Lake Bell (Shrek Forever After) and Rory Culkin (Igby Goes Down) are all considering joining Scream regulars Courtney Cox Arquette, David Arquette and Neve Campbell in the fourth installment. Kevin Williamson and Wes Craven return to write, direct and produce. The roles as offered are Ashley Greene (pictured) to play Jill, the new heroine of the film as the cousin of Sidney(Campbell) and Rory Culkin would play Jill's love interest. Hayden Panettiere would be Jill's film geek best friend. Lake Bell would play a police officer who is friends with Sidney. The difficulty the actors have in deciding if they will or won't take the roles is that they're not being provided a script due to the secrecy surrounding the film; they have to decide if they want in based on a character description. UPDATE: Kristen Bell (You Again, When in Rome, pictured right) and Anna Paquin ("True Blood") have joined the cast of Scream 4. It's expected they'll be the two stars that get killed off at the beginning. The Scream movies are famous for killing off their most famous stars in the beginning (ala Drew Barrymore in the original and Jada Pinkett Smith in the second). Scream 4 is currently filming in Michigan through the end of September.

Emma Roberts and Hayden Panettiere have taken a leap of faith in Kevin Williamson and Wes Craven, agreeing to star in the reboot of the Scream franchise along with Rory Culkin and original cast members Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox Arquette and David Arquette. The script is so top secret not even the actors being asked to play the roles can see it.
